Invitation package for Please Touch Museum's Grand Opening Gala at Memorial Hall, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.

The children's museum of Philadelphia was moving to a historic new building that was four times the size of it's former location. An 80 million dollar, 10+ year project, the Opening Gala was one of the biggest events in the museum's 30+ year history. This invitation was printed on a silver pearlized paper. On the front was a photo of the old museum with the words "The Little Museum That Could". When it was opened, it revealed the same image and text, except it now read "The Little Museum That Did!". The next set of flaps opened up to reveal a photo of the new Memorial Hall location, complete with a pop-up sign. The existing outer flaps formed a base so that the invitation could stand on it's own. This package contained the invitation, outer envelope, reply card, sponsorship information and a reply envelope.
